Barrenworld: Den of Elyptus

One month after the Battle of Avanoth, the truth about the Warlord’s Chalice has slipped from whispers into open rumor, and now every king, mercenary, and bounty hunter on the Central Continent is hungry for it. The cursed cup rides hidden in a single worn travel bag on Bartimus of Gambor’s back, its unseen weight drawing assassins from the shadows and greed from every corner of the world.

To destroy it, Bartimus, Alora, Elephanor, and their unlikely companions must reach the fabled Den of Elyptus, home of the dragon once bound to the ancient king Astilles. Somewhere in that perilous lair lies the Dragonhammer Axe, said to be the only weapon capable of ending the chalice’s power. Their road winds through secretive kingdoms and glittering, hostile cities, where dwarves, ogres, and forest-born elves are treated as curiosities at best, and monsters at worst.

But the danger outside their circle is nothing compared to the threat growing within it. Uthar is missing, the chalice’s legend is twisting hearts, and some of its promises sound far too much like hope to be safely ignored. As bounty hunters close in and old loyalties are tested, Bartimus and Alora must decide how much of themselves they are willing to sacrifice to break a curse that was never meant to let its chosen go.
