I’m honored and humbled to share that I’ve been nominated for The Next C.S. Lewis Fellowship, sponsored by the C.S. Lewis Foundation, Author Conservatory, and Young Writer’s Workshop. The news came as a wonderful surprise. Knowing that someone believed in my writing enough to put my name forward is an encouragement I won’t soon forget.
To have my name connected, even through a nomination, with a fellowship bearing the name of one of fantasy literature’s most influential authors is deeply meaningful. C.S. Lewis demonstrated how stories of wonder and imagination can explore faith, courage, hope, and the struggle between good and evil. These are many of the same qualities I strive to bring to my own stories and the worlds I create.
The fellowship offers fiction writers opportunities to strengthen their craft through mentorship, instruction, and guidance from experienced voices in writing and publishing. As an author, I believe there is always more to learn. Every story presents new challenges, and every book provides another opportunity to grow.
Much of an author’s work happens quietly. Countless hours are spent developing characters, building worlds, revising chapters, and searching for the right words to bring an imagined story to life. A nomination such as this doesn’t feel like a finish line. Instead, it feels like a meaningful reminder to keep learning, keep improving, and keep telling the stories that have been placed on my heart.
I’ve accepted the nomination and look forward to learning what comes next. To those who took the time to nominate me, thank you. Your confidence in my writing means more than I can adequately express.
Whatever may come from this opportunity, I’m grateful for the recognition and for everyone who has supported my journey as an author. I look forward to continuing that journey, one story at a time.
